This process allows for individuality in each and every pair of our shoes, seeing each customer be able to implement their own design concepts to create their dream shoe.
Our thorough process results in durable shoes of the highest quality for you to enjoy for years to come. Below is a guide to our precise, bespoke shoe making process, where attention is given to every one of our customers during our handcrafted protocols.
Shoes Made by Experts
Our team of artisans at Girotti all have one thing in common: they are passionate about making shoes! With the highly specific skillset of being qualified shoemakers, every pair of shoes are certain to be handcrafted with passion, enthusiasm, and precision. When placing an order with Girotti, you are supporting some of the most talented craftsmen and allowing them to let their artistic qualities flourish, all of which will result in a unique, one of a kind pair of shoes made just for you!
Made to Fit Like a Glove
To begin with, our focus is placed upon ensuring your shoe will fit you perfectly. We use a precise mold configured to be dimensioned as a replica of each individual foot, again, emphasising the bespoke quality of each and every pair of our shoes, which are made for every individual wearer in mind. Once we have made sure that your shoe is made to fit, our materials are gathered, all of which are sourced from premium materials which will stand the test of time.
Tailor Made for You
With everything in place, we then will cut the materials, according to each wearer’s size specifications. Once each component is tailored, our attentions turn towards smaller features such as laser engraving and embroidery.
Built With Precision
With each piece of cut-out material having been prepared, we then solve the puzzle, resulting in a constructed shoe! The material forming the upper part of the shoe is sewn together - this is when our work begins to look like a functioning shoe!
Once this finished article has been sewn together, it is sent to a quality specialist – a step we value, in order to ensure that each and every one of our customers are provided with a product of the highest standard, without any oversights or errors.
The Bigger Picture
Once quality control have approved the upper segment of the handcrafted shoe, it is joined to the heel, insole and sole through a mold and bonding process. The fact that this is practised by hand rather than through machinery ensures that precision is articulated, as well as quality and durability.
Once the main body of the shoe is bonded together, any excess material is removed and the shoe fixed together, with the upper part being closed accordingly. To ensure a strong shop is instilled in the shoe, it remains in a mold for a duration of time before being removed.
Finishing Touches
Smaller elements are added to the shoe, including the insertion of an insole and applying the desired finish as indicated by the customer at their point of purchase. This is when the crafting process results in a fully constructed shoe which can be worn and enjoyed by the wearer.
Quality is Key
We take pride in creating shoes of the highest quality – something which sets us apart from shoes which are mass produced, rather than handcrafted. To maintain these values, we send every pair of completed shoes to an independent laboratory where they are tested for durability, quality, and safety. This therefore guarantees that every pair of Girotti shoes are not only dazzling in terms of design, but will also allow extensive wear and comfort, and give each of our customers peace of mind when it comes to their safety.
